Introduction to the key steps involved in designing a social science research project (research question, conceptual debates, theoretical framework, formulating hypotheses). Introduction to the research methods relevant to each of these steps (documentary research, literature review, citing and referencing). Examples drawn from scientific articles, particularly their methodological dimension. Overview of the main empirical qualitative and quantitative research methods, and of their theoretical foundations and complementarity.
I personally found this to be a really enjoyable course with a level of practicality. You learn how to conduct research and the research process. There are many assignments but they aren't time consuming nor difficult. The information you learn will be a stepping stone to the higher level courses. Overall, great course.
I WOULD recommend this course to others.Report Review
